The new 6-DOF
robots from Mitsubishi:MELFA RV-6S/SL,
RV-12SL |
Exceptional Power
and Reach
Mitsubishi Electric is defining a completely
new performance class in the
articulated-arm robot market.
The current robots with six degrees of freedom combine high
payload
handling capacity with an exceptionally long reach.
Common platform for maximum compatibility
The current RV-S articulatedarm robots add three new 6-DOF
models to Mitsubishi’s
highly-successful robot line. As in the smaller models, compatibility
was a high
priority for the design team. The programming language, options
and handling have all
been retained to provide an optimum common platform for the
entire robot
programme.
Higher, stronger, more precise
With handling payloads of up to 12 kg, a truly impressive
maximum workspace radius
of 1,385 mm and exceptional precision (repeatability: ±
0.05 mm) the new RV-S
series is predestined for handling parts in industrial production
and for chaining
plant stations. An IP65 protection rating provides the capabilities
needed for heavy-duty applications, like those in the motor
industry suppliers sector. The state-of-the-art
technology used in this series significantly increases robot
speed and drastically reduces work cycle times. All the new
robots complete the 12-inch test in less than a second! Multifunctional
robot controllers. The robots are controlled by the multitasking
controllers CR2B or CR3. Connection of any image processing
system control of up
to 8 additional axes and high-speed communication with the
robot via an Ethernet
link are just a few of the impressive highlights of this high-performance
robot
controllers. Other features include automatic conveyor belt
tracking, crash detection
without sensors and a wide range of powerful functions for
work cycle optimisation.

No matter whether you
choose floor,wall or
ceiling installation: Your 6 or 12 kg
handling payloads are transported with a
repeatability of up to± 0.05 mm.
Payloads of up to 12 kg can be moved at
distances of up to 1,384mmat a maximum speed of 9,500 mm/s.

FR-F700 series –
the new energy-saving inverter family from Mitsubishi Electric
|
| |
|
 |
|
Outstanding efficiency and minimal power consumption are
the outstanding characteristics of the new FR-F700 frequency
inverter series from Mitsubishi Electric. The new FR-F700
is available in versions with output ratings from 0.75 to
560kW and its advanced features enable enormous power and
cost savings for pump and fan applications in heating, ventilation
and air conditioning. All in all it is a more than worthy
addition to Mitsubishi’s successful and very popular
range of economical-performance inverters.
Configurations using the FR-F700 can save more energy than
other drives. Fitted with the Mitsubishi Electric’s
Optimisation Excitation Control (OEC) technology, the inverter
combines maximum drive utilisation with minimum power consumption.
These capabilities and the extended PID control functionality
(including shutdown monitoring), which supports control
of multiple motors, make the FR?F700 ideal for pressure
and flow control applications.
Clear and detailed information on current drive status and
service and maintenance data are output on the FR-F700’s
integrated display and the network connections and are also
accessible via the interface to the programming software.
Among other things, the system provides automatic reminders
when components need to be replaced. The new inverters’
service-friendly design also make maintenance quick and
easy.
Today support for a variety of networks is an absolute must
for all control systems. The new FR-F700 has connection
options for all major open field bus systems, including
Profibus/DP, DeviceNet, CC-Link and LonWorks. Other communications
options, such as the integrated RS?485/Modbus RTU port and
the optional USB port, enable connection of the drives to
the FR-Configurator programming software package and MX4
SCADA, Mitsubishi Electric’s powerful new visualisation
software package.

Massive communications ability
packed in to only 3.8 inches: The new MAC E410
|
| |
|
 |
|
A small but mighty midget: In only 3.8"
the new MAC E410 control unit from Mitsubishi Electric brings
transparency into functional processes and provides a high level
of operating efficiency. Text, passwords and formulas can be
entered on the touch-sensitive surface of the monochrome display.
With a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels the MAC E410 also allows
the optimum presentation of application controls. The MAC E410
is a real communications wizard thanks to the three integrated
interfaces; for Ethernet and the serial connections to RS232
and RS422/485. It is also very simple to achieve the exchange
of data between various systems using the MAC E series dual-driver
concept. Furthermore the integrated web server provides all
communications facilities for remote access via the Internet,
e-mail or SMS – now that really is mighty powerful!
